You are invited to join us in our services. We are an independent Baptist Church which teaches the simple truths of God’s Word, the way of salvation in Christ which is the hope of eternal life. Our goal as a church is just to point people to the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ. As an ongoing ministry of the church we have Bible Study and prayer on Wednesdays and Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening worship services, as well as Sunday School for children during our morning worship service. Our theological position is conservative. We hold the Bible as the final Authority for all matters of faith and practice. We believe the Bible to be 100% true, 100% accurate and 100% reliable. And we believe in the inspiration of God for the original writing of both the Old and New Testaments as canonized in the current 66 book format often referred to as the Holy Bible and that the Authorized Version is the best English translation of that Bible currently available, and use it exclusively for our preaching and teaching ministries.   Our social position is simple. We believe the mandate of the church is to function as a local entity and as an autonomous body of believers who have covenanted together to serve God and each other. We believe that mandate to be twofold in its effect; first, to accomplish the goal of spiritual growth in its members and secondly, the purpose of the fulfilment of the Great Commission, which is to tell people about their need of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and to encourage them to follow the Lord in obedience to the Word of God. The Church is not charged with the task of curing the world’s social ills or political troubles. This does not prevent us from meeting the needs of those around us. But our focus should and always will be, first of all, to reach people for the Saviour. We are not under the auspices of any denomination or union that governs our practice. The church calls its own pastors, sets its own guidelines for membership, establishes its own policy of governance, directs its own funds, selects its own curriculum and chooses its own missionaries to support. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church. We strongly encourage all to come to the Saviour but will force no one to do so. We also will not compromise the message of the Bible for or with the “modern social message” as most other churches. They are free to do as they wish but we will not take part with them in their programs.

1. The Scriptures. We   believe   the   Scriptures   of   the   66   books   of   the Holy   Bible   to   be   verbally   and   plenarily   (both   the thoughts   and   words)   inspired   of   God,   both   the Old   and   New   Testaments,   and   that   they   are   both complete    and    the    final    authority    in    faith    and practice. II Tim. 3:16-17; II Pet. 1:20-21. 2. The One True God. We     believe     in     one     Triune     God,     eternally existing   in   three   persons;   God   the   Father,   God   the Son,   and   God   the   Holy   Spirit;   each   co-eternal   in being,    co-identical    in    nature,    co-equal    in    power and    glory    and    having    the    same    attributes    and perfections.      Deut.   6:4;   Matt.   28:19;   John   14:10, 26; II Cor. 13:14; I John 5:7. 3. The Person and Work of Christ. 1 . We    believe    that    the    Lord    Jesus    Christ,    the eternal    Son    of    God,    became    man    without ceasing   to   be   God,   having   been   conceived   by the   Holy   Spirit   and   born   of   the   virgin   Mary   in order    that    He    might    reveal    God    and    redeem sinful   men   (Isa.   7:14;   Luke   1:35;   John   1:1-2;   II Cor. 5:19-21; Gal. 4:4-5; Phil. 2:5-8). 2 . We     believe     that     the     Lord     Jesus     Christ accomplished     our     redemption     through     His death   on   the   cross   as   a   representative,   vicarious, substitutionary       sacrifice;       and       that       our justification    was    made    sure    by    His    literal, physical   resurrection   from   the   dead   (Acts   2:18- 36; Rom. 3:24-25; Eph. 1:7; I Pet. 1:3-5; 2:24). 3 . We   believe   that   the   Lord   Jesus   Christ   ascended to   heaven   and   is   now   exalted   at   the   right   hand of   God   where,   as   our   High   Priest,   He   fulfills   the ministry    of    Representative,    Intercessor,    and Advocate   (Acts   1:9-10;   Rom.   8:34;   I   Cor.   15:1- 4, 20-25; Heb. 9:24; I John 2:1-2). 4 . We   believe   in   the   "blessed   hope":   the   personal, bodily,       pretribulational,       premillenial       and imminent   return   of   our   Lord   and   Savior   Jesus Christ   (Matt.   24:44;   John   14:1-3;   I   Thess.   4:14- 18; Titus 2:11-13). 4. The Person and Work of The Holy Spirit. 1 . We   believe   that   the   Holy   Spirit   is   a   person   who convicts   the   world   of   sin,   of   righteousness   and of   judgment;   and   that   He   is   the   Supernatural Agent   in   regeneration,   baptizing   all   believers into   the   body   of   Christ,   indwelling   and   sealing them   unto   the   day   of   redemption   (John   16:8-11; Rom.   8:9;   I   Cor.   12:12-14;   II   Cor.   3:6;   Eph. 1:13-14). 2 . We   believe   that   He   is   the   Divine   Teacher   who assists   believers   to   understand   and   appropriate the   Scriptures   and   that   it   is   the   privilege   and duty   of   all   saved   to   be   filled   with   the   Spirit   (I Cor.   2:9-16;   Eph.   1:17-18;   5:18;   I   John   2:20, 27). 3 . We     believe     that     God     is     sovereign     in     the bestowal    of    spiritual    gifts    to    every    believer. God    uniquely    uses    Evangelists    and    Pastor- teachers   to   equip   believers   in   the   assembly   in order   that   they   can   do   the   work   of   the   ministry (Rom. 12:3-8; I Cor. 12:4-11, 28; Eph. 4:7-12). 4 . We   believe   that   the   sign   gifts   of   the   Holy   Spirit, such    as    speaking    in    tongues    and    the    gift    of healing,     were     temporary.     We     believe     that speaking   in   tongues   never   has   been   a   common or   necessary   sign   of   the   baptism   or   filling   of   the Holy   Spirit   and   that   ultimate   deliverance   of   the body     from     sickness     or     death     awaits     the consummation      of      our      salvation      at      the resurrection,   though   God   may   choose   to   answer the   prayer   of   believers   for   physical   healing   (I Cor. 1:22; 13:8; 14:1-11). 5.      The      Creation      of      Man      and      the Universe. We   believe   that   man   and   all   that   makes   up   the entire   universe   were   created   by   the   direct   act   of God   without   the   use   of   evolution.   That   the   first book   of   Genesis   along   with   the   rest   of   Scripture   is the   literal   and   accurate   history   and   revelation   of God’s    work.    And    that    He    currently    sustains    all things   by   the   word   of   His   power.   Gen.   1:1-27;     John 1:3; Col. 1:15-17. 6. The Fall of Man. We believe that man was created by the direct act of God,    that    he    sinned,    and    thereby    came    under sentence   of   death,   both   physical   and   spiritual;   that all   human   beings   sin   and are born sinners, and when they   reach   the   age   of   moral   responsibility   are   in need    of    redemption.    Gen    1:26-27;    Rom.    5:12; 3:23; John 3:18. 7. The Incarnation. We   believe   that   Jesus   Christ   was   begotten   by   the Holy   Spirit   and   of   Mary,   a   virgin,   and   is   true   God and   true   Man.   Matt.   1:18-20;   John   1:1,   2,   14,   18; Gal. 4:4-5. 8. The Atonement. We   believe   Christ   died   for   our   sins   according   to the   Scriptures;   and   that   He   was   buried   and   raised again   the   third   day   according   to   the   Scriptures. And that   this   is   the   only   Gospel   of   which   the   Bible speaks. I Cor. 15:3-4. 9. The Mediator. We   believe   that   Christ   only   is   the   great   High   Priest and   mediator   and   we   need   not   the   intercession   of   any man,   but   that   Christ   ever   liveth   to   make   intercession for us. Heb. 7:24-25. 10. The Return of Christ. We   believe   in   "that   blessed   hope"   -   the   personal, pre  tribulational,   premillenial   and   imminent   return of   our   Lord   and   Saviour,   Jesus   Christ   from   heaven. Titus 2:13; Acts   1:10-11; I Thess. 4:13-19. 11. The Eternal Reward. 1 . We   believe   in   the   bodily   resurrection   of   the just     (saved)     and     the     unjust     (lost);     the everlasting   blessedness   of   the   saved   and   the everlasting   punishment   of   the   lost.   John   5:21- 30;    Daniel    12:2-3;    John    5:28-29;    11:25-26; Rev. 20:4-6. 2 . We   believe   that   the   souls   of   believers   (saved)   in Christ   do   at   death   immediately   pass   into   His presence   and   there   remain   until   the   resurrection of   the   body   at   the   rapture   when   soul,   spirit   and body   reunited   shall   stand   before   Christ   to   be judged   of   their   Christian   works   for   the   giving   of rewards   and   they   shall   then   be   associated   with Him   forever   in   glory   (I   Cor.   3:11-15;   II   Cor. 5:10; I Thess. 4:13-18). 3 . We   believe   that   the   souls   of   unbelievers   (lost) remain   after   death   in   conscious   misery   until   the final   resurrection   at   the   end   of   the   millennium for   judgment;   the   result   of   this   judgment   will   be that   all   these   same   souls   will   be   cast   into   the lake   of   fire,   not   to   be   annihilated,   but   to   be punished      with      everlasting      torment      and separation   from   the   presence   of   the   Lord   and from   the   glory   of   His   power      (Luke   16:19-26;   II Thess. 1:6-9; Rev. 20:11-15). 12. The Church. We    believe    the    church    is    an    organised    group    of regenerated,   baptised   (immersed   in   water)   believers with   two   officers   (Pastors   and   Deacons)   who   have covenanted   together   in   a   local   assembly   to   observe the   two   ordinances   (baptism   and   the   Lord's   supper) and      carry      out      the      principles,      precepts      and commission   of   their   Lord   and   Saviour,   Jesus   Christ free   from   any   outside   authority   or   control   as   an autonomous   and   self-regulating   entity.   Acts   2:14- 47;   10:47-48;   13:1-4;   15:19-31;   20:28;   Rom.   16:1- 4;   I   Cor.   3:9,   16;   5:4-7,   13;   Phil.   1:1;   I   Tim   2:12; 3:1-13; Heb. 10:25; Matt. 18:18-20; I Tim. 3:1-13   ; I Pet. 5:1-4 .
